Midfielder Danny Jackman picked up three awards at Gillingham’s Player of the Year awards at Priestfield on Saturday night.
The 29 year old picked up the coveted Player of the Year award along with Sponsors’ Player of the Year and Players’ Player of the Year after an excellent season for The Gills playing both in the heart of midfield and at times at left back.
“I’m over the moon,” Jackman told the club website.
“I had a couple of tough years beforehand and it’s nice in my third year to get these awards, it means a lot to me.
“It’s nice, but I’d give it up for promotion, any player would because that is what you are judged on ultimately.”
Goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga was rewarded for a fine first season with the club by picking up Young Player of the Year and cane third in the overall Player of the Year voting.
Meanwhile, Jack Payne won Away Player of the Year, Danny Kedwell came second in the main Player of the Year vote with Chris Whelpdale claiming the Goal of the Season for his spectacular effort at Torquay earlier in the season.
